4 Tablespoons and 1 Sugar sifter in red leather covered wooden case lined with padded silk and navy blue velvet. Old English stem, which is a rounded and turned down end. Originally these would have been plain spoons popular in the 18th Century. In the 19th Century they would have been converted into 'Berry spoons' whereby the popular vine and fruit motif was embossed into the bown and the stem was engraved. The bowl was also gilded. Silver Hallmarks:
[.a], [.b], [.d] London for 1784 with makers initials 'IL', possibly John Lamb.
[.c] London 1802 with makers initials 'WF' possibly Wm Frisbee.
[.e] London 1789-90 also with makers initials 'IL'.
