Double valve (oil vessels). Lindsay 108 'The top valve or container held the oil and was suspended from a notched rack; this enabled it to be tilted forwards as the oil diminished. The lower container held the oil that syphoned over the top lip...the valves [were] hammered out & shaped on dies'.
