IRON, Gasoline

Alcohol or gasoline iron. Wooden handle, round attachment for fuel. On iron 'ROYAL SAD IRON/ MODEL D' and other side 'BIG PRAIRIE OHIO/ PAT. PENDING'. 'Royal' iron manufactured by Royal Self Heating Sad Iron Co. also made in Big Prairie under smae patents as Monitor (made by Bertus A. Lake, Big Prairie Ohio). Probably made for company who wished to have a special name attached to their product. Monitor 1st patent 1903, next 1929. Iron probably dates between these times.
