CLOTHES, Set of Doll's

a) Dress. Flounced skirt of the 1850s. Pale blue and white striped cotton, with darker blue printed flowers. Wide, round neck, long sleeves with wide cuff. Gathered all around waistline, with double skirt. All hand sewn. Fastens with 2 cloth covered buttons and loops.
b) Petticoat, full length. White cotton. Round neck, no sleeves. Armholes finished with buttonhole stitch. Skirt gathered onto bodice. 3 rows of pintucks on skirt. Ties with strings at neck & waist. all hand sewn.
c) Waist-petticoat. Gathered at waist with long tacking stitches, with threads used as ties. Trimmed at hem with machine-made Valenciennes lace. Hand-sewn.
d) Flannel, waist petticoat. Tape threaded through waist, with ties extending. Herringbone hem.
e) Chemise. Straight neckline with buttonholed armholes. White cotton.
