"A Doulton stoneware candlestick, with metal mounts, incised and coloured with scrolling of foliage and flower-heads by Emma Shute." (Christie' cat. number 247). Marks on base: DOULTON \ LAMBETH in circular crenellated shield, impressed. "600" impressed & E S" incised. (These initials are not in Eyles' book). Ref. Godden 1964: 214 number 1343.
