Tri-colour - red, white & blue. Canvas strip attached to top with "This flag with message attached was dropped on beach near Cape Rublieres (NW coast) on March 3rd 1942, when flying boat rescued 25 men from M.V. "Koolama" which was bombed & lost February 20th 1942. "Wooden toggle to attach to rope". In ink on reverse; `I T D FRANCE'.
