INDENTURE CERTIFICATE
H1992.76
Apprenticeship Indenture certificate of the Pharmaceutical Council of Western Australia between Reginald Isidore Cohen and Thomas Brown Watson (father) and Russell Clyde Watson (son), on 21 February 1944. The period of instruction was for four years, between the hours of 8.30am and 6pm at Cohen's Adelphi pharmacy on the east front of the Adelphi Hotel building, Perth. The completion of apprenticeship section was signed on 21 February 1948. Nineteen forty-four, when Russell commenced his apprenticeship, was the first year in which apprentices in pharmacy did not have to pay a premium to a master. It was also the first year in which students were given time off work to attend lectures rather than lessons at night after a gruelling 8.30am to 6pm work day. For further details see H92.0024
