JOCKEY'S CAP
H1989.345
Silk accessioned under H89/344. Yellow silk cap with stiffened visor. Cap made in six panels. Lined with cotton, padded around the visor. Visor is also covered in silk and may be made from cardboard. Around the bottom of the cap but above the visor is a drawstring made of the same silk. It is held in place with two loops at the front and also ties at the front. Has been machine sewn with the exception of the the stitching which attaches the visor to the cap underneath. There is a silk covered button at the top of the cap.
