ALUMINIUM PIECE, 'SKY-LAB', grey with discoloured areas, rectangle with uneven edges, internal honeycomb laminated structure visible

Rectangular silver composite aluminium sandwich with uneven edges piece of skylab which re-entered the atmosphere above Esperance. Lower left hand corner is indented with further indentations along the bottom. Writing on the front 'SKY-LAB.' written in black marker. Edging displays corrugated internal structure sandwiched between the front and back piece. Oxidiation spots visible on the front. Two small stickers on the reverse 'Mossgreen/ 085133'. Scratches visible across the back and diagonal strip of rust right hand side possibly result of contact with another metal. Back has yellow stain patches and green coating on the bottom right hand corner which appears to be residue of a protective coating.
