Dark blue and yellow enamel and gold gilt finish badge with gilt edged rim. Circular badge piece at top with crossed flaming torch and axe surmounted by yellow enamel firemen's helmet, pictured on side in centre, encircled by laurel branches. Segmented banner at bottom of circle reads 'WESTERN AUSTRALIAN/ VOLUNTEER/ FIRE BRIGADE ASSOCIATION' in main section with the dates '1898' and '1998' in the left and right side sections. Second rectangular banner beneath reads 'CENTENNIAL'.
Reverse: Text 'Sheridan/ Perth' in outlined box, clutch fixing with no pin or catch attached.
