FABRIC SAMPLE BOOK, 'CLUB 71', purple-pink coloured cardboard covers. Contains bound dark wool fabric swatches

Hard covered purple pink front cover with 'CLUB 71' printed in white on gold rectangle. 'THREE HERON BRAND/PURE INDIGO' illustrated with herons, printed on shoulder to which a red cord is attached, for suspension. A pictorial representation of a seated man, drink at hand and cicarette in the other in black and white. The inside of the book has a rosette with 'AWARDED FULL MARKS FOR SUPERIOR QUALITY/VICARS FABRIC'. The fabric samples are pinked on the edge and are of dark coloured worsted wool. A label on the back of each sample gives a number and states that it is pure wool. The back inside cover gives addresses in all the major Australian cities where the cloth could be obtained. Perth's address is 353-5 Murray Street, Perth. The back cover has a red, faux leather cover.
