Oblong book with pink-purple diagonal striped, glossy hard cover 'Crusader Cloth' printed front and back cover, in white with 'GOLD MEDAL QUALITY THROUGH 50 YEARS!' printed in yellow-gold underneath. Two medals in gold, one from 1911 from France and the other by Australian Wool Bureau, are represented pictorially on the top, right hand side. The logo is a knight on a horse representing a crusader. A purple cord is attached through two metal rings to suspend sample book. The book contains swatches of medium-weight, wool yarn 'QUALITY WORSTED' in a range of dark colours in fine plaids and stripes. Each has a label stuck on the back, naming the colour and style. The first seven swatches have a small rectangular piece cut out on the bottom right hand corner. The last page has an insert 'GUARANTEE'...'Moth-proofed for life by a special Dieldrin process...'
