Small, rectangular, purple print on white, paper, 50,000,000,000 marks, German bank note. Shaded purple background, with stylised floral motif in each corner, and central winged motif in top centre. Text reads; ‘Reichsbahndirektion Frankfurt a.M./ No 415937 * GUTSCHEIN/ Füahlungsmittel wieder zur/ Verlilgung stehen. Der Gutschein wird von unseren sämtlichen/ Kassen an Zahlungsstatt angenommen. Der Zeitpunkt, mit dem die/ Gültigkeit abläuft, wird öffentlich bekannt gemacht warden./ Frankfurt a.M., 22 Oktober 1923./ Reichsbahndirektion:/ … [signature underneath]/ 50,000,000,000’ (Commas handwritten in pencil). ‘REICHSBAHN DIREKTION/ FRANKFURT (MAIN)’ stamp with text circling stylised eagle motif, to left of signature. Reverse plain. White paper discoloured with age, single vertical fold through centre of note, edges bent, and creases through note. Small tears and dirty marks to edges through use.
