MURAL SKETCH
H1993.79
Pencil sketch on white paper. Shows upper half of a man wielding a pneumatic drill or jack hammer. Pipes extend from the rear of the tool, and a support consisting of a pivoting bar is attached to the centre of its underside. The tool is positioned at right angles to the man's body. The man is wearing a hard hat with a mounted light, suggesting that he is either a miner or working in dim conditions. His sleeves are rolled up, and he wears protective gloves. The sketch is signed: 'LS 86 dec'.
