VISITING CARD CASE WITH CARDS

Case: Rectangular wood case, decorated with diamond shaped pale coloured pearl shell to give patchwork effect, with a border of blue-green pearl shell. Centre front engraved with circular motif, possibly life buoy. Lined with red velvet. Metal clasp and hinge. Typical of the style of case produced in the mid 19th century. 5 cards inside printed with 'Mrs H.C. Armstrong'. 1 card has '1st & 3rd Friday/ Malcolm St'.
