LETTER OPENER, 'JOHN CHURCH & Co. Fremantle'

Metal letter opener with flat, oval shaped handle and flat blade tapered to a point. Pointed end of blade is bent back on itself at 45 degree angle. Handle and blade joined in centre by round metal piece, which has a flat oval finger guard attached across the centre. Embossed on one side of handle: 'JOHN CHURCH & Co./FREMANTLE'. Embossed on reverse of handle: 'HARDWARE -- TOOLS, CUTLERY, GUNS./BRUSHWARE, PAINTS, CROCKERY ETC' and 'MARSUS'(?) in small letters.
