Paper ticket, titled in black "PASSENGERS CONTRACT TICKET/(NOT TRANSFERABLE)". The prearranged details of the ticket are stamped in purple "Berth No.", ship "Asturias", embarking at "Southampton" ("liverpool" also stamped but crossed out in blue ink), fare "As Arranged", place of issue "ORIENT LINE/9 KINGSWAY/W.C.2", fares to be paid by sponsoring authority, "Commonwealth/of/Australia". Other details are handwritten in blue ink; berth numbers, transport grade "MIG", for "MELBOURNE", on "6TH MARCH 1951", passengers "MR & MRS S. PARKER/Mr O " Mast G " (9)/Miss M " (7)". Reverse of ticket is titled in black "MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT" and lists conditions of travel. Two punch holes at left hand side of ticket.
