Metal printing plate glued to wooden block, bearing 'WESTERN AUSTRALIA/ 7/ POLICE DEPARTMENT/ Reg. No./ Make Examination due on or before/ day of/ July 1993/ DRIVING/ INSTRUCTION/ VEHICLE'. Printing plate is blue in colour. Printing plate surface very oily and protected by a square of thin clear plastic. Bottom of wooden block is covered with three rectangular strips of fine layered paper; bottom of wooden block has slot in which to insert metal date stamp to change date.
