Metal printing plate nailed and glued to wooden block, bearing the text 'WESTERN AUSTRALIA/ 12/ Police Department/ Reg No./ Make/ Examination due on or before/ day of/ DECEMBER 1988/ DRIVING/ INSTRUCTION/ VEHICLE'. Printing plate is redish in colour. Each side of the wooden block has a brown/black burnt(?) mark in a diagonal line.
