Reads; "WESTERN AUSTRALIA / CODE OF SIGNALS / To be used after 7th October, 1901, in all Metalliferous Mines / (Section 23 of "The Mines Regulation Act Amendment Act, 1899" Reg. 26). Has list of signals which follows. There are four codes of signals in the collection; T74.135, T74.388, T74.577 ab all of which are enamel; more practical as this fabric code of signals has not survived well. May have been intended for surface office rather than engine room.
