Hand-made wheelbarrow used in early mining. Made from locally obtainable material - gimlet wood mainly. "Wheel" made from whole section of sawn off log. Found by Mr Greg Bowden - associate of Mr Mundy - at a mine drive at the 100 ft level. Shaft 13 is on a lease near Corsair - about 12K from Kalgoorlie on the Kalgoorlie - Bulong road. Mr Mundy has spent most of his working life in the Goldfields as did his father, Ben Mundy. Grandparents come from Victorian Gold Mines. Mr Bowden b. Kalgoorlie - parents also born in Kalgoorlie - father Keith Bowden worked as shift boss for WMC in 1950s.
