Hollow. [sketch] shaped. Loose ring with hook attached at one end. 'Travelling' ring attached by two links 14 cm from the other end. Round unseamed side has hinged hook attached. [sketch] mark pressed in broad hinged hook. Part of hames which was worn on the collar around the horse's neck. It was attached to the dray by straps and shafts running along each side of the horse's body. See illustration on data sheet.
