W1985.100

Found in Arms store during CEP grant sorting of Arms collection when J Moroney and D Kops made shelf lists and recorded locations in the W Register. Pocket watch with leather thong and key. Writing and numerals on face appear to be Turkish, with star and crescent moon. Case may be French made, shows a bell symbol, a gothic letter "A", and a plain letter "F" inside case back, and beside time speed lever are the letters "R/A/S/F". Probably a souvenir of the Great War
Details from register: White metal, appears to have been silver plated. White porcelain face with Turkish star and crescent and Turkish script. Winder key attached to leather strap.
