Trowel in shaped black case, purple silk lining and velvet. Alfred Day Man. Jeweller and Watchmaker 126 Rundle St Adelaide. Made in Birmingham England 1872. Inscribed: "Presented to John Forrest Explorer on the occasion of his laying the Foundation Stone of the McKinley monument at Gawler S.A. 14th Nov 1874.
