Trowel inscribed "Presented by the contractors Messrs Davies & Wishart to the Hon. Sir John Forrest K.C.M.G., Premier of Western Australia on the occasion of his laying the Foundation Stone of the Leeuwin Lighthouse W.A. on 13th Dec 1895". Stamped on back "STG / SILVER / [LION PASSANT] [CROWN]".
