Two copper 5 centimes coins. The design of these 2 coins is identical apart from their mintmarks. The obverse features a bust of Marianne (Personification of France) facing left and the lettering 'REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE·*'. The designer Mintmark signature 'DUPRÉ' is below the bust. The reverse features the Facial value and the date in the French Republican Calendar 'CINQ CENTIMES L'AN 6 or 7· ', surrounded with an oak wreath. The edge of the coin has visible marks (chevrons). These are more clear on [.2]
[.1] L'AN 6. Mintmarks: 'Lady Archer', 'Caduceus' and 'W'.
[.2] L'AN 7. Mintmarks: 'Lady Archer', 'Cock' and 'A'. There is evidence of 'overstrike' on the edge of the coin.
