Coelogorgia palmosa
The bush-like colonies are rigid and brittle, with only the twigs having a slight elasticity. Colonies grow often as bushy clusters and can reach a hight of one metre.
Morphology
Bushy colonies. The colonies consist of a stem, branches and twigs. The branches are arranged in alternate successsion and branch off the main stem at steep angles.

Coelogorgia palmosa is not a very common species. It can be found on outer and fore-reef slopes, lagoons, and submerged shoals.
