Axinella aruensis
Light orange, pale yellow, occasionally beige alive. Erect branching or fan shaped with flattened margins, and basal stalk. Surface micro-conulose with small oscules visible. No microscleres, megascleres oxeas and/or styles.

Thick flabellate or digitate with basal stalk
Behaviour
Sessile filter feeder.
Method of reproduction
Sexual with larvae.
Habitat
Marine
Occurs from 5-76 metres depth. WA: 5-50 metres.
Distribution
Northern Australia from Pilbara to Kimberley, QLD, Indonesia & Papua New Guinea.
