ten eijnde moesten op godts genade na beter weer wagten
nade middag is overboort gevallen en verdronkken den mattroos
Jan Croon bevonden ons schip door het geduurig swaer stooten,
in 't midden aan stuurboort omgeset 'snagts ontstond weer
een schrickelijke branding zoo dat onmogelijk scheen het schip
