1848 Carbine patent, breech loading dropblock with maynards patent cap device. '1848 Patent Sharps' stamped on top. Crown of '2' on top 1st and 2nd proof and view marks. British broad arrow and '28' on barrel. Serial No: 2604. 'KDG 427' on brass butt plate. Charge/projectile: cartridge. Sights: fore - block and blade, rear - missing. Furniture: 54 stamped on inside and inside of patch box cover. Carbine strap on LHS.
