2nd type used on line. White ceramic with metal top. Marked "SIEMEN BROS" \ > . < E > : \ 1874" enclosed in circle. The 1st type used was "RAM'S HORN" - (symbol) ceramic. 3rd type used had a grooved top (symbol). None of 1st or 3 types collected. from the telegraph li between Eyre & Madura. After the 4th type; a new line was built further in land, and using steel posts to avoid corrosion & condensation.
