Used by Mr Andrew Dempster at Esperance Bay 1867 to 1890 and at Muresk 1890 to 1909. A letter from Miss Cotton, dated May 1971 reads: "DENTAL TOOLS Used by Andrew Dempster at Esaerance Bay 1867 - 1890 and at Muresh 1890 to 1909. Always kept in a red handkerchief, these "tools" removed many an offending tooth belonging to family or employees in those early days." Miss Cotton was a granddaughter of Andrew Dempster.
