RULE, Metal, ivory and brass

Rolling-style Parallel Rule: steel with ivory edge along one side, 18 inch scale marked in black. Two ridged brass and marked ivory rollers, one each end of rule, which are synchronised and protrude to the under side of the rule. Two steel strips are screwed along the length of the rod which is attached to the rollers. A black bakelite? strip covers it.
