DESK PAD, brown leather

.1] Brown, tooled, leather desk blotting pad, decorated on the rear with spade shapes interlocking and pitted decoratively around them. The front has four tooled leather corners to secure blotting paper and a sheet is glued to the base.. 'Tick, Tock, a mouse ran up the clock/one, two, three o'clock, the mouse ran/down the clock' written in a child's hand at the bottom of the blotter. 'FJA' is tooled into the top left hand hinge.[.2] A white sheet of blotting paper fits into the hinged corners. [.3] Photograph, black and white of baby daughter Wendy who died in Japan in 1920 from diphtheria. She's wearing a smocked dress and holding a flower to her nose.
