Small, cylindrical, mustard-yellow, metal, ‘WATKINS/ MUSTARD-ON’, tin (x6). Lid has bright red, thin circular border, with black detail as a background to product name. Text reads; ‘TRADE MARL/ J.R. Watkins (cursive)/ WATKINS/ MUSTARD-ON/ MADE IN AUSTRALIA/ COMPLIMENTARY PACKAGE.’ Base of tin mirrors border design, text reads; ‘DIRECTIONS./ An external application/ in many cases of Coughs,/ Colds in the Chest,/ Spasmodic/ Croup, Neuralgia, Rheumatic/ Pains, Sore Joints and Muscles./ Apply to affected parts, rubbing/ briskly until entirely absorbed./ For children, dilute with/ Watkins Pomade or/ lard./ FM 920’. Ointment inside (strong odour), but unable to open tins. Tins all have ointment/dirty residue on outside, with some paint scratching and indentation of tins.
