UMBRELLA, collapsible, grey tartan, ‘BOI’

Small, grey with red/brown tones, tartan canopy, silvery metal shank, spreaders and ribs, white and black short painted handle with black and cream/gold plaited wrist strap, ‘Boi/ W.B. &’, collapsible umbrella. Gathered canopy at tip of umbrella, fans out over ribs. Tip is an open, threaded metal screw (with no top). Two brown, elasticised ties on edge of canopy, secured with small grey button, each. Shorter tie has fabric loop, longer tie has metal ring attached with elastic at both sides. Collapsible mechanism no longer works, umbrella opens slightly flat. Shank extends minimally. Base of spreader inscribed with ‘Boi [cursive]/ W.B. &’. Small tab under base of spreader, larger on handle end of shank, inscribed with ‘EBECO’. Rounded, painted black and white, wooden handle, paint chipped/worn away at shank end. Base of handle has raised, repeated circular pattern, finished with a metal ring, attached to black and cream/gold plaited, synthetic?, rope wrist strap. Underside: spreader and ribs intact, only one rib detached from canopy. Most have been hand repaired/sewn back onto canopy. Base of spreader is rusty, spokes from base to main spreader also rusty. Only one rib end covered with canopy material, others’ rounded ends visible.
