Letter from Jean Best, Children's Librarian, to Mrs D Skele, 23 Odin Rd, North Innaloo, advising she was unsuccessful in applying for a temporary position. Cream B5 letter enclosed in cream envelope with 5d Christmas stamp of book and canclle, postmarked 'Fremantle 9 Jan 1961', stamped 'Let courtesy reign on the Queen's highway'. Reverse postmark of 'Tuart Hill'.

Cream B5 letter enclosed in cream blue-lined, envelope postmarked 'Postage Paid 0/5 AUSTRALIA XA7, Perth W.A. 1 VI61'. 'The University of Western Australia' printed across bottom and university crest on reverse, curved flap.

Bodycoat to Mrs D Skele, 23 Odin Rd, Innaloo, acknowledging application for position of Library Attendant, and advising she would be contacted if they wanted to interview her.Cream letter enclosed in cream blue-lined, envelope postmarked 'Postage Paid 0/5 AUSTRALIA XA7, Perth W.A. 4 IX 62'. 'The University of Western Australia' printed across bottom and university crest on reverse, curved flap.

Bodycoat, for Registrar, to Mrs D Skele, advising application for position of Library Attendant was not successful. Cream letter enclosed in cream blue-lined, envelope postmarked 'Postage Paid 0/5 AUSTRALIA XA7, Perth W.A. 14 IX 62'. 'The University of Western Australia' printed across bottom and university crest on reverse, curved flap.
[.7] LETTER, Adult Education Board, 1 September 1961, with envelope. Letter signed E.Yeldon for Director Hew Roberts, to Mrs D Skele, advising application for position of Junior Library Assistant was not successful. 'The successful applicant is Miss Coral Hyde, a recently matriculated undergraduate who has found it impossible to continue her studies as a full-time student.' 'P.S... As certificated librarians are rare, I believe you will have not difficulty in finding a position in our developing suburban library system.' Cream letter enclosed in cream envelope with UWA crest, 5d stamp of Queen Elizabeth, postmarked Perth 'posted in pillars' and 'COM'LTH..../CORRECT ENROLMENT / COMPULSORY'
[.8 ]LETTER, Adult Education Board, 26 March 1962, with envelope. Detailed explanatory letter from Director Hew Roberts to Mrs D Skele, advising application for position of Junior Assistant Trainee was not successful. Letter explains that he is embarrassed to tell her that they have appointed a young Lithuanian girl in financial difficulties. He advises her to improve her English speech through lessons and the theatre and that he has asked UWA to clarify her status. Cream letter enclosed in cream envelope with UWA crest, 5d stamp of Queen Elizabeth, postmarked Perth 'posted in pillars' and stamped with postal advert: 'IDEAL FOR / SMALL INVESTORS / BUY SPECIAL BONDS'.
[.9] LETTER, Royal Perth Hospital, 11 September 1962, with envelope .Letter from Jane? Griffith, Administrator, to Mrs D. Skele advising application for position of Librarian was not successful. Letter explains they received a number of applications from people who 'like yourself were well qualified and capable of carrying out the duties'. Thick cream paper enclosed in brown envelope stamped 'postage paid 0.5' and postmarked 'Perth 11 IX 63'. Blurred stamp 'First Commonwealth Paraplegic? games?, Perth 10-17 November 1962.'
[.10] LETTER, Shire of Perth Public Libraries 1 February 1963, with envelope. Letter from Cecil C. Florey, Senior Librarian, to Mrs D. Skele advising her application for a position had not been successful. Letter says it is not an 'outright rejection'. Cream paper enclosed in cream envelope with 5d stamp, postmarked 'West Aust 2 Feb 1963' and stamped,' Come to the Festival of Perth'.
[.11] LETTER, City of South Perth, 4 April 1963. Letter on cream paper from K.D. Leach, City Librarian, to Mrs D. Skele advising that her application for a Student Librarian position had not been successfu and inviting her to apply for a poistion in Fremantle.
[.12] LETTER, Hale School, 23 July 1963, with envelope. Letter from J.R. Prince, Headmaster, to Mrs D. Skele, advising that her application for position of Librarian was not successful due to Daina's 'linguistic difficulty'. He apologises for raising her hopes by inviting her for an interview.Cream paper enclosed in cream envelope with 5d stamp, postmarked 'Perth 25 Jly 1963'. Advertising stamp, 'Ideal for small investors buy special bonds'.
[.13] LETTER, Home of Peace, 9 August 1961, with envelope. Letter from M.D Edis?, Matron?, Home of Peace, Thomas Street, Subiaco, to Mrs Skele advising that she has a position and should report to the Nurses pantry at 7am. Cream letter enclosed in cream envelope with 5d stamp, postmarked 'Perth 10 Aug 1961'. Advertising stamp, 'ENLIST IN THE REGULAR ARMY'.
