Metal print plate which appears to be glued to wooden base. Plate features rounded square shape bearing words around periphery - 'GEOLOGICAL SURVEY/ WESTERN AUSTRALIA'. On bottom of logo: pick and hammer crossed symbol. In centre of logo, a swan in the middle of the map of Western Australia, with sea like pattern bordering the map of the state.
