Brown 'crocodile' leather case with gold 'E.B.L.' monogram on centre lid top.
Inside, lining in dark green leather with pockets and straps with stud clips for holding toiletry containers.
Variety of containers - glass/ stirling silver/ plate - with monograms 'EBL' and 'CWL'. Silver work ornate scrolls, cupids, animals, birds, flowers etc. Impressed designs.
H.96.17 - List of objects from case.
1. Hand mirror - oval - fully silver backed/cherubs and flowers. 'EBL' monogram. Bevelled oval mirror.
2. Two silver backed clothes brushes - one with 'brush' missing. Hallmark: LONDON 1902 CD (maker). Monogram 'EBL'.
3. Silver flask with hinged lid (damaged/stiff) 'ALLEN 37 STRAND' on base. Hallmark: LONDON 1901 AJ (maker). 65mm x120mm x 25mm.
4. Metal (silver?) cigarette case with matching design/pattern with above. 'ALLEN 37 STRAND' on inside edge of upper half. No hallmark. Lining and fittings missing. Both (3) & (4) monogrammed 'EBL'. Size: 70mm x 100mm x 10mm.
5. Plate match container with hinged lid, spring clip catch & hinged striking plate under lid. Silver colour. 50mm x 45mm x 20mm.
6. Plate ink bottle with hinged lid, spring clip, glass lining and safety clip to prevent lid opening. 45mm x 40mm x 20mm.
7. Four instruments with mother-of-pearl handles: nail file, button hook, crochet hook, shoe lace guide (?). All 110mm long.
8. Oval straight sided, wide mouth bottle with silver snap-on lid. Monogram 'CWL'. Hallmark LONDON 1903-PW (maker) 70mm x 100mm.
9. Matching circular bottle with snap-on lid. Same hallmark and monogram. 35mm x 130mm. 'CWL'.
10. As above 35mm x 180mm. 'CWL'.
11. As above - narrow necked, screw-on cap. 35mm x 180mm.
12. Spherical cut glass scout bottle with ground glass stopper and silver, hinged lid. No monogram. Hallmark worn - indicates LONDON 1898 - maker's mark not clear.
