DUSTER HOLDER
H1995.211
Burlap duster holder made from used Colonial Sugar Refinery 70LB sugar bag. Sugar bag has multi-coloured binding on edges, and flowers appliqued on front. Embroidered in wool is word: 'DUSTERS'. Opening flap shows appliqued 'gollywog' stereotyped figure, as if hanging out clothes or doing domestic task.
Hand and machine sewn. Has two loops for hanging at top. On reverse side - '...SUGAR/ REFINERY/ PURE CANE SUGAR 70 LBS/ PERTH/ 1A'.
