Piece of scrimshaw of contemporary design. Piece is engraved in fine black ink with representations of whales and a dolphin: Beneath the image is the popular name, and the scientific name (in red ink). Whales depicted include Sei, Minke, humpback, Grey dolphin, Sperm, Pilet, Killer, Right, Fin, Blue. Artists name is etched at base of scrimshaw: 'WHALES/ GALORE/ JESPER/ 1982/ ALBANY'.
