Bronze medal in wood stand. Medal (.1) is inscribed 'District/ Pioneer/ Miss V.A.M. HOBBS', with a gum leaf and nut wreath; the reverse features the coat of arms of South Perth with the inscription 'WESTERN AUSTRALIA 150TH ANNIVERSARY/ 1829/ 1979', with the sesqui centennary swan logo. The wood stand (.2) is a single oblong piece of wood, with two blackened grooves on its upper surface for decoration. A slot in the top enables the medal to stand vertically.
