H1994.214

Dark brown, leather wallet lined with fawn inside except for two dark brown pockets, one on each side. One is marked in gold 'MIGNON/ ATHENS'. Each end of the wallet is attached to a metal bar which extends almost across the wallet's lenth into two flat bands, hinged at the centre where the wallet folds in half. On the outside, a metal insignia with 'ME(?)' in stylised letters has been applied.
Inside one of the pockets is a scrap of paper (c) with a name and address: 'MR COSTUS/ MANOLOWOLIS (?)/ RUE CARMEL/ SIDKY POCHA/ NO. 32 EGYPTE', and two Egyptian currency? notes (b + c).
e. A negative, showing the owner at a mature age, was also contained in the wallet.
