SIGN, ARNOTTS PARROT
H1993.307
Round metal sign for fitting onto the side of delivery truck. Features Arnott's `Rosella? parrot on a perch' logo. The parrot holds a cracker marked `ARNOTTS' and at the bottom of the sign are the words `TRADE MARK/REG.' The parrot is a plastic label stuck to the metal sign, rather than a hand painted work. Arnott's logo is instantly recognisable to most Australians. These round signs used to be fitted onto the Arnott's delivery vans but the logo is now painted directly onto the van. This type was discontinued in the 1980's.
