Ninety six page book of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh's visit to Western Australia in 1954. Features many photographs and minimal text covering most events they attended during their seven day stay (58 days in Australia). Title page reads "CYGNIS INSIGNIS (within banner under a swan) / THE / ROYAL / VISIT / TO / WESTERN / AUSTRALIA / 26TH MARCH / TO / 1ST APRIL / 1954 / PUBLISHED FOR / THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PERTH / IN ASSOCIATION WITH / THE STATE GOVERNMENT OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA / BY / OSWALD ZIEGLER PUBLICATIONS PTY. LTD. Beneath a shield supported by two rampant swans, "FLOREAT". The book's brown leather cover has coat of arms in gold on the cover and page edges are also gilded. Cardboard box for book is covered with fawn, textured, heavy paper and has pale gold velvet lining the inside lid and base.
