SIEVE

H1992.177

Circular sieve comprising of an outer and inner wooden band between which the sieve wire is held. Two lengths of brass wire run diagonally across the sieve wire intersecting in the centre, presumably to hold the shape of the sieve and brace the sieve wire. Outside is marked: 'CAKE DEPT.' Fine sieve, probably used for flour.
