LAMP, Electric

H1991.2

Early electric lamp with a slightly domed base supporting a brakcet (15cm high) with a screw by which the top section comprising the globe and shell-shaped shade can be angled and screwed. The lamp would be ideal for close work as the shade half covers the globe and completely protects the eyes when the lamp is positioned horizontally. The globe is a mondern 'OSRAM' but the cord is fabric-covered and the base is marked: 'G.E.C>/ HE/ 1094'. See copied data sheet for diagram.
