SPECTACLES

H1990.178

This is a small pair of spectacles which probably belonged to Audrey Hudson-Taylor. The frames are brown across the top and clear on the remainder. The arms are the same brown colour. There is a small silver coloured raised metal decoration at the top corner of each frame. The frames are plastic and have a shaped nose rest made in one with the rest of the frame. The arms are attached with metal hinges and a metal arm is visible inside the plastic one. The lens is very think for the left eye and not so thick for the right eye. On the inside of the frame of the left eye is: '44/20'. On the inside of the left arm is 'FRAME AUSTRALIA 135'. On the inside of the right arm is '135 Matin Wells Joan' with a spectacle symbol before the word 'Joan'. The glasses are heavy and may have glass lenses.
