[.1] DOLL, ‘Giggles’, standing and giggling doll, rubber (vinyl) socket head with long rooted, auburn nylon hair, with blue, side glancing moving eyes and painted eyebrows, lashes, cheeks and lips. 1966/IDEAL TOY CORP/GG-18-H-77/JAPAN' is impressed into the nape of the neck. Plastic body and limbs; arms and legs complete with flange joints and formed hands and feet. Mechanism for giggling is viewed through an apeture in the torso and is activated when arms are moved apart and forwards, thus moving the eyes as well. Dressed in fluoro orange and pink striped nylon knit top and shorts, full back opening to top with three metal press stud fastenings. Label sewn inside the left hand shoulder shows manufacturer. Black plastic sandals.[.2] Original operating instructions on paper pamphlet, with drawings and written instructions on how to activiate giggles. The trade mark if of 'IDEAL TOY COMPANY' patented in "AUSTRALIA'. [.3] Cardboard presentation box, plain on the outside, with 'giggles' written in green,red, pink on the interior lining. [.4] Lid of box has a colourful picture of Giggles with three other children playing in the green grass. 'WHO MAKES LITTLE GIRLS GIGGLE?/THE HAPPIEST DOLL IN THE WORLD' printed in black above it. The sides are similarily colourful. 'IDEAL TOY CORPORATION' is repeated on all sides. A price tag '$10.25' is stuck on the top left hand corner
