MEDICAL BOOK; "The Treatment of Common Female Ailments"

Maroon covered book by McCann entitled "The Treatment of Common Female Ailments". Inside front cover has 10/6 in pencil, and "N L. Cass / South Perth / '52". Has blue sticker which reads "ALLAN GRANT / MEDICAL AGENT / BOOKSELLER, LIBRARIAN. / 92-94 COLLINS STREET. / MELBOURNE". Has "Lindsay E. Hale (?)" on right hand page. Cass' handwriting, together with date, and South Perth, the address of his practice at that time, indicate he must have purchased the book second hand in that year. Item found at Willetton store, but is obviously part of donation by Mrs Bessell-Browne made in 1981 and 1986. [T81.40-91, T81.117-118, H86.596-621, H86.623-646]
